The Moonlit Cycle is a charity event organised and run for the sole benefit of St Luke’s Hospice by Tom French and Associates.
Back for 2017, this is your chance to join hundreds of road cyclists, riding from sunset through to the moonlit hours, as you take on the 50km or 100km cycle along South East Cornwall’s iconic coast.

When: Saturday 10th June 2017
Where: Torpoint Community College, Cornwall
Join us in support of St Luke’s Hospice in their vision to provide a community where no person has to die alone, in pain or in distress. St Luke’s have been caring for thousands of terminally ill patients for over 30 years and fundraising events like this one, enable them to continue with this great work.
Setting off from Torpoint Community College in Cornwall this challenging and unique road cycling event covers either a 50km or 100km course along South East Cornwall’s iconic coastline from sunset and throughout the moonlit hours. You will head across the coastal headland to Dobwalls, Looe and Seaton returning back to Torpoint.
Who is the event for?
The event is ideal for anyone with a bike, a set of lights and the adventurous spirit to head out into the unknown.
The short route caters for cyclists of all abilities and all types of bike with plenty of support around the course and a midway feed station with hot food and drink.
The longer course heads out into the night with periods of being alone in the narrow beam of your lights. With 1664m amount of climbing and another feed-station in Dobwalls it is one for the adventurous cyclist who knows they can confidently cycle 100km but wants that unique night ride experience in a supported environment.
Your registration fee goes towards the cost of organising the event, but it’s the money you raise that is crucial to the work of St Luke’s.RateAdult£2516-17 year old£20

How to hit your fundraising target
The simplest way to get sponsored is by setting up an online fundraising page.
They are simple to set up and only take a few minutes. You can then easily share a link to this on your page on Facebook, Twitter or other social media and also email it to friends, family and colleagues. We recommend keeping this fundraising page up to date and share your story – why you’re participating in this event. You can share your training or how you’re feeling ahead of your big night on Saturday June 10th!
We’ve created a team Just Giving Page and you can join this simply by creating your own fund raising page on it. Just go to our Just Giving Page and follow the “Join the team” link

For safety reasons and if you require assistance there will be roaming marshals, static marshals and support vehicles en-route throughout the event.
